This pregnancy yoga class is a great way to connect with your baby as well as meeting other Mums to be in the local area.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Have Questions?

If you have never done yoga before, do not worry! These pregnancy yoga classes are suitable for all levels of experience and fitness. Each pose is progressive, meaning that a pose suitable for beginners is offered as well as adaptations for those who are more experienced. Where you take the pose, is up to you.

The aim of pregnancy yoga is to tune into your changing body as the weeks go by, and adapting movements where needed.

Pregnancy yoga is suitable for all stages of pregnancy as it is a gentle, and restorative class. Most people wait until after their 12 week reassurance scan before joining, although if you have had an early scan and are feeling well you might like to join sooner. Pregnancy yoha is suitable all the way through pregnancy until you give birth.

The only equipment that you will need is something to practice on, preferably a yoga or exercise mat. If you do not have a yoga mat you can use a beach towel. There are a couple of mats available in class to borrow, but please ask in advance for availability.

Yoga is practiced bare foot so you do not need an special shoes, and wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. You might want a drink handy during the class, a cushion to sit on and a blanket for the relaxation at the end of the class but these are all suggestions and personal preference. Any other props that you might need are supplied.

Yes. At Tree Estate there are several parking bays next to the hall and there is plenty of free street parking.

At Waller Park there is a free car park outside of the hall.

The pregnancy yoga classes are taught by Colleen Stewart, a qualified Hypnobirthing and pregnancy yoga teacher. Colleen qualified as a hypnobirthing antenatal teacher in 2016, as a pregnancy yoga teacher in 2020 and full yoga teacher in 2024. Colleen is passionate about helping people achieve a positive birth experience, and creating a safe space for parents to be to connect and relax.

If you book a class and then can’t make it, your class will be refunded or transferred if you give 24 hours notice. This is to ensure venue costs are covered, allow time for your place to be filled and to encourage commitment to class.

The only exception is if your baby is born before the class, in which case a full refund will be offered or a credit for a mum and baby yoga class.

To change or cancel your class – log on to your book when account (all the details and link can be found on your booking confirmation email). From here you can cancel a class or change your class to another date or class type.

A discount is applied for classes booked in a block of four. If you are four weeks or less from your due date you can pay weekly at the reduced rate, simply arrange a direct payment in advance with your teacher.
